Wizkid, Amaka Osakwe, Davido, Lakin Make Forbes List Of 15 Young African Creatives
Nigerian musicians Wiz Kid 25 and Davido 22, fashion designer Amaka Osakwe and photographer Lakin Ogunbanwo made it to Forbes list of 15 Young African Creatives Rebranding Africa. The article which was published by Forbes last month selected 15 talented Africans below the age of 35 years making waves in music, fashion, arts and entertainment.
Amaka Osakwe who has designed for Lupita Nyong'O, Michelle Obama and Solange Knowles is the 28 year-old designer of Maki Oh designs. She was invited to the White House last year in honor of the First Lady's "Celebration of Design" initiative.
Lakin Ogunbanwo is the 27 year old Nigerian photographer that has his works featured on the pages of British GQ, ID Magazine, WSJ and the New York Times. Some of his works were recently exhibited in Sao Paolo, Cape Town, London and Lagos Nigeria.
